Privacy Policy

Grind is a social network for founders to share milestones, ideas, asks, launches and lessons. The Service is operated by the Grind team. For any privacy question, contact privacy@grindapp.in.

• Account data — email, password (hashed), and provider identifiers when you sign in with Google.
• Profile data — display name, username, avatar, bio, links, location, and other fields you choose to add.
• Content — posts, reels, stories, comments, likes, bookmarks, messages, events you create or RSVP to, and any media you upload.
• Usage data — pages viewed, actions taken, device, browser, approximate location (from IP), and timestamps. Used to keep the Service safe and improve it.
• Cookies & local storage — used for session management, theme preference, and feature flags.

• Provide, operate and maintain the Service (auth, feed, DMs, notifications).
• Personalize content and recommendations.
• Detect, prevent and respond to abuse, fraud or security incidents.
• Communicate product updates and respond to support requests.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Where applicable, we rely on: contract (to provide the Service you signed up for), legitimate interests (to keep the Service secure and improve it), consent (for optional cookies and certain communications), and legal obligation.

We share data only with:

• Service providers who help us run Grind (hosting, database, auth, storage, analytics, email). They process data on our behalf under contract.
• Other users — anything you post publicly (profile, posts, comments) is visible to other users by design.
• Legal & safety — when required by law or to protect rights, safety and property.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition or asset sale, with notice to you.

We keep account and content data while your account is active. You may delete posts, stories and your account at any time from Settings — see our Account Deletion policy for full steps. Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days after deletion. Some records (e.g. for fraud prevention or legal compliance) may be kept longer.

We use industry-standard measures: encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, row-level security on the database, scoped storage access, and least-privilege service credentials. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password and enable provider 2FA where possible.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in Settings, or email privacy@grindapp.in.

Grind is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
